The last week in April means it's time for the first of three Dave and Ed's Swap Meets at the Canfield Fair Grounds in Canfield, OH. There is always a huge number of vendors with about any car or motorcycle related item you can think of. Friday was a beautiful day and the crowd was enjoying the sunshine. Then at about 5pm a huge wind storm came and the sky was littered with pop up tents and other stuff that was not tied down well enough for the above 50mph winds. As I was driving up State Route 11 I heard a noise and it was my parking pass leaving my windshield headed for Pittsburgh, PA. Saturday it rained until the afternoon and then it was decent. When I saw Sunday's forecast of clear and 55 I thought this will be a good day accept the weather person lied and there were snow flurries and about 30 most of the day. Through all this if you could stand the climate changes there were some great deals to be found. The Car Corral had some nice vehicles for sale as well. I hope the next one in July has better weather. It was nice to see all the people who stopped by to say hello. As always the Dave and Ed's staff made the best of the situation because they have been doing this for twenty-five years and are still going strong. This has to be one of the biggest swap meets in the tri-state area so come check out the next one.
